Creeks are the blood vessels for the living tissue of the earth
The Strawberry Creek Daylighting Project led the way to the founding of Berkeley-based Urban Creeks Council and dozens of similar projects around the country and even in other countries, such as Seoul, Korea’s downtown Cheonggyechon river. Strawberry Creek Park was built on an abandoned railroad right of way donated to the City of Berkeley by the Santa Fe Railroad.
